Roaming Brood

We have done the math and figure we travelled over 85 000 kms during our worldwide adventure! We are leaving...on a jet plane We left home in August 2019 and drove over 15 000 kms exploring Canada and the USA. Saying goodbye to family as we set off! We came home for less than 1 week in early October 2019 to trade in our van and camper trailer for carry-on luggage and set off on our international adventure.  Despite coming home 3 months early, we still managed to loop the globe, flying west until we made our way back home. Readers- I just noticed that the last couple of posts had problems with their photos.  I have fixed them if you want to take a peek.  Sorry about that! As you know from our Covid-19 post in March 2020, we left Jordan early to make our way back to Canada.  We were supposed to continue our adventure until the end of June 2020- we lost 3.5 months of our trip.  Who could have ever predicted that a pandemic would be the reason we had to cut and run?! That said, we still have a few more posts to share in summary of some of our adventures and I'll start with this one! One of the most fabulous skies we have ever seen  Jordan is bordered by Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia Jordanians are warm and welcoming Lots of people smoke- even 14 year-old kids There are police check points on the major highways Flash-flooding and road wash-outs are problems when it rains Hummus is served for breakfast, lunch and dinner but not with shawarma Shawarmas contain only meat and garlic sauce and are grilled on a panini press.  Pickled vegetables are served on the side.
